Yes, fall is here. Don’t ask me where the summer went. I was busy studying while I sat at the front of my house across from my fountain, surrounded with ornamental grass and pebble stones! I didn’t go anywhere physically, but I went to so many magical places!!!
I have become even more patient, and more forgiving! How was your summer? What have you been doing?

I didn’t know what to expect when I registered for this course at the last moment to study directly with Dr. Silvia Hartmann. I could have never imagined what it turned out to be. One person quit at the end of the first week. Another when he received the last unit! He said it was too much!
They museum hosted Tibetan Monks of Drepung Gomang Monastery for a week. I had the wonderful opportunity of visiting three times during their stay, to observe the beginning and development of the Sand Mandala,-in the picture, and a Tibetan Cultural Pageant. 
Millions of grains of sand are painstakingly laid into place on a flat platform over a period of days or weeks. In general all mandalas have outer, inner and secret meanings. On the outer level they represent the world in its divine form; on the inner level they represent a map by which the ordinary human mind is transformed into enlightened mind; and on the secret level they depict the primordially perfect balance of the subtle energies of the body and the clear light dimension of the mind. The creation of a sand painting is said to effect purification and healing on these three levels
One the most important things about the Sand Mandala is that at the end it is dismantled with a ceremony and the sand is thrown into a moving water, where carry the healing energies are carried throughout the world. Dismantling represents the impermanence of human construct, ability of detachment of the result, the power of being able to let go, and putting all your energy in it even if you know that it won’t last.

They can be applied easily anywhere. Even if you do not apply the methods actively; the stories will still work their magic in a subliminal level in your subconscious, increasing your emotional intelligence.
